Greetings to the Populace of Aethelmearc,

"Pennsic is upon us!"  I look forward to representing Aethelmearc at Youth Point, along with the bevy of Youth Officers who will be assisting me, noting in particular my deputies  Failend Brecc O'Conail and Magdalena de Mayfield, and our teachers Sultana bint Mihail and Solveig Throndardottir.  Our youth officers have also been called upon to assist with the Scribal Tea and the Newcomer’s Social.  It is very heartwarming to see our Kingdom Offices crossing over and helping each other with staffing to make more activities family-friendly. It is important to also note that many of the Youth Chancellors are also Youth Marshals, and serve both aspects of the youth program in our Kingdom.

I am thrilled to see many teachers offering classes that invite youth to attend!  Remember Artisans and Teachers--you do not need to be warranted to invite youth to your classes, if your subject matter is appropriate. Simply coordinate with a warranted Youth Officer and he/she will be more than happy to assist you, or seek me out for assistance. Make sure your class description includes the disclaimer "All ages are welcome to come--children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult." And, if you do not have a warranted person to assist you, change the disclaimer to “All ages are welcome-minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.”

If you still have questions, or need clarification about the Youth Policies or the 2 deep rule, please call on me for help. I will continue to support you in any way I can to increase the number/quality of Youth & Family Activities in the Kingdom.

In service to the Youthful Dream,
Baroness Clarice Roan

Greetings to the Populace of Aethelmearc,

With Pennsic on the horizon, I implore the Youth of our Kingdom to make ready your A&S projects for the Knowne World Youth Arts and Sciences Display, which will take place August 10th at Youth Point. You are not required to be in attendance, and can send your project with a member of your group. Let's show the Knowne World that Aethelmearc's youth are carrying on our proud heritage!

I am pleased to see a request by our Kingdom A&S Minister for age-appropriate classes, as requested by our Princess.Royale, Elizabeth the Huntress. Remember Artisans and Teachers--you do not need to be warranted to invite youth to your classes, if your subject matter is appropriate. Simply coordinate with a Youth Officer and he/she will be more than happy to assist you, or seek me out for assistance. Make sure your class description includes the disclaimer "All ages are welcome to come--children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult."
We are continuing the process of warranting of new Chancellor Minors. I would also encourage groups to contact me if you do not have a Chancellor Minor Officer. Even if your group does not have an officership, you can still have a warranted At-Large officer. Direct all interested persons to me!

If you still have questions, or need clarification about the Youth Policies or the 2 deep rule, please call on me for help. I will support you in any way I can to increase the number/quality of Youth Activities in the Kingdom.

In service to the Youthful Dream,
Baroness Clarice Roan
